What is this blog all about anyway, pretentious jargon aside?
Formerly known as mimimayhem.com, All Amateur Advice on an Array of Angles documents a life of cultural exploration without claiming to be a specialist resource on the subject. The author learns as she blogs and she blogs what she learns, taking after Socrates' modest take on thought: I know that I know nothing.
From time to time, the blogger posts commentaries on socio-political issues, advocacies and events as she sees fit, but mainly this is a blog on art, design and culture and everything in between, if any.
Don't be surprised though if you happen to stumble upon some personal posts from several years ago. This blog used to be just like any other blog. But now, maybe on its own little way, it's one of a kind.

Who's behind this thing?
Camille "Mimi" Diola (aka me) graduated with a degree from the best journalism program in the country in 2009. I've been a film buff since 3rd grade, and after (ignorantly) swearing to become the Philippines' next Roger Ebert in high school, I went on to take several major classes in film studies while in college. But I fell for journalism and other forms of art besides film, and out of these various preoccupations, this blog was born.
Is she really a non-pro?
On the above topics, at least. I'm really a writer and digital communications practitioner. I'm also the administrator and sub-editor of Universitas Online and the UA&P corporate portal, and I currently contribute to The Next Great Generation Arts and Culture section and Universitas Magazine.
Outside my day job, I'm with a team that develops websites for individuals and small businesses. While on a web project, I act as website designer and strategist, directing the site's front-end development. To say I'm the regular "techie" might even be an understatement of my cup of tea.
If there's any graphic design, typography, editorial layout and multimedia trouble, I can also be the girl for it. I even keep an online design and presentation portfolio updated maybe thrice a year 'cause I can be a slug. But when it comes to the actual design job, I can toil for weeks on end.
For the most part though, I think I'm a journalism soul, no matter how many hats I wear.
Questions, projects, possibilities? Drop me a line.
